What is Gua Sha? Gua Sha is an ancient healing technique aimed at promoting lymphatic flow and drainage through gentle gliding strokes across specific areas of the body. This practice helps release tension, excess fluids, and enhances circulation, resulting in a more radiant complexion and reduced puffiness.

The Ritual

Skin prep is crucial to ensure best results and allow gua sha tool to glide across skin instead of pulling or tugging. Start with cleansed skin. Next, apply 1-2 pumps of the facial oil elixir into your palm and gentle massage into skin. Gently glide gua sha across skin:

- Neck/Shoulders: Starting at the back of the neck, gently glide the tool up and down using the curved side of the gua sha stone. With downward strokes, drag the stone across the top of the shoulders.
- Jawline: Using the curved side, draw the stone in slow strokes, massaging from the chin up to the ear, then glide down the neck.
- Cheeks: Turn the stone to the flat side, glide it in outward strokes across the cheek, holding it at an angle to maximize surface area. Turn it back to the curved end to move over the cheekbones. Finish gliding down the neck.
- Under eyes: Very gently glide the stone out underneath the eyes, toward the temples.
- Forehead: Glide the flat end of the stone from the brow up to the hairline.

Gentle is always best, as the lymph system is directly under the skin, so only light pressure is needed! Hold the tool at an angle 15-45º, never at 90º angle. Go over each section 5-10 times. Always clean the gua sha tool after each use.

Local Pick Up

Local customers can choose to pick up their orders to save on shipping. Orders will be dropped off weekly for pick up at White Mountain Crystals in Plainville, MA. Please wait for an email confirmation that your order is ready to collect. Orders will typically be ready in 4-5 business days. An order confirmation email/slip or photo ID is required at time of pick up.

Mindfulness

For any of our beeswax-based products [balms, salves, etc] offered, consistency may be altered by the weather: softer in warmer months + firmer in cooler months. During warmer seasons, keep product in a cool, dark area. During colder seasons, allow the warmth from your skin to soften the product.

Shipping to or throughout hot climates, particularly in summer months, may result in a liquified product. Please keep this in mind when ordering + ensure your order is shipped to an address where it will be collected in a timely manner + not left out in the sun or hot weather. If your beeswax product melts + liquifies, this will in no way harm or alter the efficacy of your product. Should you experience this, simply toss in the refrigerator for a few hours to bring it back to its original consistency.

Due to the hygiene nature of products, returns + exchanges are not accepted. Refunds will not be allowed based on personal scent preferences or if allergic to an ingredient.
