Be Your Own Boss

Be your own boss, they said. Start your own business, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.

Well, that last part is true, even with all the stressors of running a business.
I’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately. VERY overwhelmed.  I am a one woman operation, which gets incredibly draining from time to time (may have had a mini meltdown recently).

I've had this business of mine for close to 5 years now, and I can truly say I love my career and what I do. I have been thinking a lot lately about what I'd like my business to look like and what what I see for the future. I have so many ideas and visions. I had a lot more planned for this year, new products, a subscription box, branding updates, and so much more.

I realize I am doing too much. I have too many products, too many options, and it’s turned into a nightmare to keep it all in stock. I want to keep the joy with my business. I will be slowly consolidating, and you’ll start to see some products say their farewells. Truth to be told, I can’t do everything, and I don’t need to.

I’m showing myself some grace and learning to say ‘no.’ I’m accepting help from friends because I don’t have to do this all alone.

Just as I am, I hope you’re learning to be kind to yourself as well.
